BERS Pro 5 Software Installation Instructions

  1. You will need to login to the EI website

     
  2. Go to the BERS Pro tab


     

  3. Click on Download Free
    Download Free.png


     

  4. Scroll down until you see the following

    BERS Pro v5.2.6 download.png

     
  5. and download WERSdata
    BERSdata.WERS v6.png
     
  6. Download these two items
     
  7. After downloading these you will then need to go to your downloads folder

  8. You will see the below but if you have downloaded more than once then you might see the download with the (2), this relates to the number of times you have downloaded the file

  9. You will then need to extract the BERSPro_5.2.6_Release file to do this right click on the downloaded file and select Extract All and then you will see the following

  10. Click on Extract (I leave what is already in as the destination)

  11. You will now see the above after the file (circled in black) has been extracted
     

  12. Double click on this and it will take you to the BERS Pro 5.2.6 installer

  13. Double click on the installer to begin installation

     
  14. You may see a box like the below if so then click on More info

  15. Then on next screen click on Run Anyway and click Yes on the next screen to go to software EULA

  16. click on the radio button "I intend..." as circled in red below and then click next

  17. Select destination (accept what is there) click next

  18. If this message comes up click yes to accept

  19. Select the start menu folder click Next

  20. Click Next to create a desktop shortcut

  21. then click install on below screen and the software will then install

  22. Once the installation has finished then you will need to install the WERS data file from the zip file that you have already downloaded from the EI website
     
  23. Go to your downloads folder where you downloaded the BERS files

  24. You will need to extract this folder by right-clicking on the folder and select extract all you will see the below message and click on extract accepting what the extracted folder will be

  26. Open the above folder see below
    BERSdata.WERS to drop on target in BP v5.2.6.png
     
  27. Position the downloads folder next to the open BERS Pro v5.2.6 and click and drag the BERSdata.WERS file onto the Target (Drop file Here) in BERS Pro v5.2.6

  28. You will see a pop-up with Success

  29.  Check to make sure that your BERS pro 5 licence is still in the following folder go to the following folder:

  30. The licence will look like this

  31. If you don't already have a BERS Pro 5 licence you will need to order the licence from the Energy Inspection website after logging into your EI account.
     
  32. Go to Buy Credits and licenses (green button)

  33. Scroll down until you see the BP license v4 or v5

  34. You want to select v5 for this instance by dropping down the down arrow and selecting 1 as seen in screenshot below circled in redOrder v5 license.png
  35. Then follow the prompts to checkout and wait for the successful transaction screen (this shouldn't take long as the license is free so no card details are needed)
