I am using a polystyrene insulation product that has foil on both sides. The claimed R values are much higher than what appears reasonable. How do I model this?

Many manufactures of foil products claim air spaces in their quoted R values. You should never include the R value of air spaces. BERS does this, so if it's added again the system transmittance is understated. All you need is the R value of the bulk component. If unsure use the "Simple R and C Values" tool. Use the thickness and material type provided by the manufacturer.
